THURSDAY'S DISNEYLAND ADVENTURE!

So Darcy and I decided to take the day off (well we planned the day off)
to embark on a full day at the "The Only People Trap Operated by a Mouse!"!
(Ok, Disneyland for all you die-hard Disney Freaks!!!)

Anyway, we get there at close to 9am thinking,

"Well it's sort of a weekday, so there shouldn't be too many people".

WRONG!
Well it wasn't that bad, but I guess at opening time, it's flooded with
people trying to get to his/her favorite ride first!
Needless to say, we did have a good time after all!
I finally got to get my Haunted Mansion ride back from the 'N.B.C." change!!
Ahhh, loved it!! I was singing all the lyrics and monologue throughout the ride,
like I wrote the damn script!!! Man! It was RAD!!
"Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialiiiiiiiiize!!"

We also managed to get onto Space Mountain-twice with the aid of the Fast Pass.
It has some advantages to getting them, but it's really pointless.

Space Mountain: Was the first ride we went on, because I told Darcy
that that would be the first ride we'd go on.
THERE WAS A LINE FOR THE FAST PASS!!!

Fast Pass: NO LOGIC!

For example: When Darcy's brother Cary (my future bro-in-law) & his girl Lindsey showed up, we cruised over to California Adventure and went straight to the
'Soaring over California' ride to get a Fast Pass, but the stupid logic was this:

(Ready for this?)
We got there at 2:30pm to get the Fast Pass.
The wait for the line was about 40 minutes.
Fast Pass stated to "Come back between 7:30-8pm".
What kind of logic is that?
Wait 40 minutes, or waste 5 hours doing something else
to get on the ride at 7:30?

Darcy and I did a good amount of shopping for little stuff here and there.
I finally got my hands on a 'Haunted Mansion' poster
thru those 'Print On Demand' deals that I've been hearing about.
I cannot wait to get that sucker framed and hung in the office!!
Also Darcy scored big time on her 'Tink' pins!!
She's almost even with me and my collection!!

Awhile back, my Mom gave me these silhouette pictures of her and my Dad
when they went to Disneyland in the 60's, so Darcy and I got ours done as
a present for my Mom!! (We got doubles)
Funny: The silhouette has my 'stubby chin'! LOL!!

All the rides where they take a picture of your reaction we had 3 total. We stole the pictures by using our trusty digital camera to take a picture of the picture!!!
My favorite one, by far is this, from California Screamin'!

Damn, 12 hours of walking, standing, shopping, laughing, screaming. It was well worth the day! Darcy and I are tired as hell, but it was cool!!

I still can't get that damn "It's a Small World" song outta my head
for the life of me!!! I'm trying hard though!!
(And you can tell how 'excited' I am about the ride above!)
