THE SCOOP ON MY FLIGHT TO ARIZONA!

So my first-ever flight on a plane wasn't as bad as I thought it would be
considering I had taken 2 Valiums beforehand to calm my nerves!
We got to Long Beach Airport as planned and hopped on the America West jet
and take-off was as smooth as silk. Darcy was there to make
things easier for me (as well as me having my trusty CD player with some relaxing tunes!)

(Darcy and I around Red Rock)

The flight itself took about 50 minutes or so.
Pretty cool seeing the sunset on the West, as well as Phoenix lit up at night.

Darcy's Dad, Bill met us at the airport to pick us up for an hour drive to Sedona
at night. We finally got to his new house and crashed after the tour of the place

Waking up Friday morning was nice. It was quiet as hell there!
Nice to wake up to peace and quiet. The views from his back patio were surreal!
We went for a small hike with their dogs and got some fresh Sedona air!
The scenery was awesome, and the surroundings were awe-inspiring.
We also had some killer Italian food at this placed called The Hideaway,
with the winds kicking in and clouds forming. My Mom called to let me know that
the plane en-route to Sedona was going to be delayed due to wind conditions in Phoenix.

(Me and 'Gage')

Later in the evening, it was raining and a little bit of hail.
Pretty cool lightning show added to the whole night!
Slowly faded out. I got a little worried about my Mom.

My Mom actually made it to Sedona, after getting lost for a bit
(She came Friday night, and got the rental car and got a bit lost
with the directions, ended up getting there about 1:30am! )

At least she made it safe!!!

We went to town and checked stuff out.
Cool spot for shopping is
Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village.
My Mom, Darcy and Cari (Darcy's step-mom) all got some cool jewelry.
Also had a killer lunch at this spot called
'El Rincon Restaurante Mexicano'.
Killer fish tacos and tons of chips and salsa!!!
Darcy managed to get me this cool little 'drummer' thing made
with bolts and washers, sautered together.
Alot of cool shops there!

(Me and my Mom)

My Mom had Darcy take some pics of her.
Mom was there 20 years ago with my Dad on a Rod Run with the Early Times.
So Darcy took some 'updated' pics of her at the same spot,
just not the same pose but close enough!!

Sunday we all went to brunch at Bill's new job (New Director of Sales
for
L'Auberge de Sedona) and had a great time!
It was nice to be together on Easter, although I am not big on 'religion' at all,
just the moment with my girl and our parents, made it really nice!!
Nice setting and great brunch!

(Me diggin' the atmosphere!)

The flight home was a breeze! (Only 1 Valium this time!).
The only bad thing was that one of Darcy's bags was left behind.
Luckily my Mom was able to retrieve it for her.

All in all flying wasn't as bad as I though it would be.
Darcy is calling me a 'flyer', but until I rack up those frequent flyer miles...
...I'll stick with amateur!!
