I remember when I was a young lad and KISS was the "Hottest Band in the World"! What kind of merchandise didn't they have back in those days? I still own the KISS colorforms set as well as the Mego KISS dolls!!
I remember going down to the corner liquor store in 1978, sportin' my 4 quarters of my allowance, wanting to get my measly hands on some fresh packs of Donruss KISS cards!
Over the years, they got lost, thrashed, traded, given away or just chewed up. Luckily for me (trying to re-aquire my past gems via the internet) I managed to re-score my once prized collection via eBay (y'know the vices of all vices!), but I started from scratch back in 1999!
So over the years, I've scored DEAD MINT KISS Cards from the original 1978 Series 1 & 2, as well as other various KISS-related cards (make-up KISS, the ones that count). Even when they did the "Reunion" gimmick...new series cards, and me suckered into buying them! (Why not?)
So I managed to make one of my own...why not? Maybe someday we can make it and steal each and every marketing gimmick that Gene "I LOVE TO WHORE THE KI$$ NAME FOR CA$H" Simmons bestowed upon the masses of fans!!
